Does interest create attention? Or can attention create interest? Sauza Tequila thinks the latter. They launched their “Make it with a Fireman” video ad in 2012. Mmmmm…..who could be the target audience? I laughed throughout – I hope it’s supposed to be funny! This is in juxtaposition to their 1998 print ad with the Life is Harsh campaign depicting an old, bearded man with one tooth. Both go against the ‘usual’ tequila ads – neither targets men with scantily clad women. They both pique arousal with unusual and distinctive qualities.
